Temple of Holy Shit

Temple of Holy Shit (2014) is a public dry toilet installation in a multi-cultural neighbourhood in Brussels, whose purpose is to convert the bio-waste produced by the park and its visitors into terra-preta soil for the gardens in the area. The project is multidisciplinary, drawing connections between art, architecture and biology. The design includes a playground, a stage, and a program of workshops and events. In this way, the ‘Temple’ is becoming a social space and a knowledge exchange center, where dierent local groups can meet and engage in activities.
