Prehistoric Posthumans

Prehistoric Posthumans is a drawing series, part of a long-lasting, exploratory preoccupation with the prehistoric representation of (women’s) bodies in different cultural contexts on the basis of figurines. I have translated these female statuettes into a free series of drawings in self-made natural inks, focusing on an intersectional, feminist and posthumanist recontextualization of the genre.

One of the drawings, Nahal Pettish, is reprinted as an edition and is for sale via Kunstverein Braunschweig.
